Strawberries & Cream, Vanilla, Sweet Peach
Gito means 'tiny' in Kinyarwanda. While this small screen size has traditionally been sold to the commodity market based on its size alone, Muraho Trading Company decided to isolate the highest density coffee to see for themselves. What they found was a 'hidden gem', which now provides growers access to the specialty market in return for better profits than before.
After sorting, the cherries are dried on raised beds for 30 days and turned constantly when the sun is high.
The innovative Muraho Trading Co was started by brothers Karthick & Gaudam Anbalagan, who now partner with or own 7 washing stations across the country. Alongside producing phenomenal coffees, they also fund agricultural education opportunities for farmers, provide seedlings, and contribute towards developing local infrastructure in the communities they serve.
